STAFF PSYCHOLOGIST

Dr. Anna Edwards is an Asheville native! She attended college at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, received her PhD in Clinical Psychology from the University of Georgia, and completed a two-year post-doctoral training in clinical neuropsychology through Clinical Neuroscience Services of Western North Carolina.

Dr. Edwards has held faculty or supervisor positions with the CDC, Emory University, Georgia State University, and the Regents Center at UGA and has provided training to graduate students and other professionals in psychological and neuropsychological assessment. Dr. Edwards has been in practice for over 20 years and joined the CReATE team in 2014. She has extensive expertise in psychoeducational and neuropsychological evaluations for a variety of learning and attentional differences.

Dr. Edwards specializes in assessment of complex cases involving neurodivergence and Autism Spectrum Disorder.  She has extensive experience in assessment of social-emotional and behavioral concerns, as well as evaluation of personality patterns in teenagers and young adults. She is also PsyPact certified which allows her to travel to complete evaluations, upon request (37 states are part of PsyPact).

In her free time, Dr. Edwards enjoys spending time with her husband, two sons, and two dogs (and guinea pig). She enjoys running, camping, and mountain biking with her family. She is a lover of all things animals and outdoors.
