Grace Barnes, Psy.D.
Dr. Grace Barnes is a licensed clinical psychologist with expertise in the provision of comprehensive psychological and psychoeducational evaluations to children, adolescents, and young adults. She has worked in a variety of clinical settings including private practice, a university counseling center, a residential treatment program for adolescents, and a young adult substance abuse treatment program, providing both direct care treatment services, psychological evaluations, and consultation services to other mental health professionals. Dr. Grace Barnes completed her undergraduate degree in psychology at Emory University and her master’s and doctoral degrees from the Georgia School of Professional Psychology in Atlanta. Working in various programs within the hospital consortium, she completed her APA-approved doctoral internship at Broughton Hospital in Morganton, NC. Dr. Barnes completed her post-doctoral training with a focus on the assessment of children and adolescents and has been working independently in private practice since 2007. Since joining the CReATE team in February 2011, Dr. Barnes has participated as a member of various multi-disciplinary treatment teams and served as a consultant in a variety of inpatient and outpatient settings. Her extensive training and experience allowed her to integrate easily into the CReATE team and she provides comprehensive and empirically-driven psychological and psychoeducational evaluations.
